What’s with people responding to the question, “How’s business?”, with the boring old response, “Doing okay”? Could they not be a little more excited and passionate about their work? After all, if this is you, you have a business that helps people be better. You have a business that changes lives. If you’ve been guilty of this in the past, is there more to the equation than an uninspired health and fitness business owner?
If you answer anything less than, “Awesome,” when asked “How’s business,” then you have a lot of work to do.
Why? Well, there are so many levels of why this is important.
Firstly, “Doing okay,” is so 1980. There are way too many resources out there for you not to be successful in business, and if you are still stuck at just okay, then you’ve not implemented them correctly.
The simple fact is, you’re operating behind the times. Okay is boring, and it’s time to change it.
If you need even more evidence, if you are uninspired about what you do and you’re doing it tough, don’t you think your clients might just pick up on that? Your clients are advocates for your brand, and whatever is coming from the business owner is going to be felt by them.
And finally, doing okay in business is costing you a fortune financially each and every year. I will guarantee you that even if you are in the early stages of business, you are leaving at least six figures on the table every year. Yes, six figures.
But instead of focusing on how much money you are losing each and every month, I want to change gears here and focus on what’s possible instead. Let me start by asking this:
How do the words ‘double your health and fitness business in 2016’ sound to you?
A big improvement on just okay, right? When I say that, I actually mean doubling your business in real tangible numbers. I mean if you are doing $100,000, it’s time you were doing $200,000. I mean if you are doing $500,000, it’s time you were doing $1,000,000 – or even more – each and every year. You see, the amount of health and fitness business owners who have come to us that so bogged down in the doing, or that have been slightly off with one (or more) of the three fundamentals of rapid business growth, is increasing by the day. Perhaps they are selling the same $1,000 product or service. An early stage business that does great is probably selling 5 of these PER WEEK. Over the course of a month, that’s $21,500 in revenue, (adjusted for 4.33 weeks per month). Over the course of a year, the difference between these very real amounts is almost $200,000. Do you want me to be quiet for a minute so that sinks in? That is $200,000 of real revenue that could be in your pocket. That is $200,000 that is going to your competition instead. We’re not putting this out there to be harsh; we’re doing it to be kind because we know what results our clients achieve when they have the correct strategy, a positive mindset and they execute like a pro.
